Brian Jones in Finland, 1965 autograph

I found this treasure from my sister's (R.I.P.) photograph box..

She collected autographs starting from the beginning of 60's,

and this really sticks out. Mr. Brian Jones ( from Rolling Stones) in Finland, Pori Yyteri.

This is not for sale, just a historical event in Finland ;o)

Friday on my mind !

Today was great, nice weather in Helsinki (+9) and two great findings for my LP-collection.
Original german pressing of  1965 Rolling Stones album, and Magical Mystery Tour from Beatles
(80's UK pressing). From Fennica Records, Helsinki. 

Budget vintage guitar from Italy

I got this guitar from my brother couple of years ago. I don't where he found it, but it
was a ''wreck'' when I received it. The whole guitar (neck and body) was covered with
thick layer of black and green paint. There were no tuners, frets and the original metal
parts were covered with rust.  This was a real project guitar, but after careful planning,
sanding, cleaning, fret-job and EBAY hunting,  I was able to find the original parts (NOS tuners etc.).
I also added Kent Armstrong Humbucker for that JJ Cale type of sound.
The guitar was manufactured in Italy in early 60's, and according the google search
the model is P2..Let me know if you know more about these models (There are no labels in this guitar..).

Ibanez guitars from 70's

These Ibanez guitars are great and have a good vintage vibe, if you can find them !
I had a chance to test and repair 6&12 string Gibson SG -lawsuit copy from the mid 70's.
For this guitar, the tuners were changed from original whatever quality to german schallers.
The pickups for 6-string part were original, but 12-string part upgraded.
If you can find some of these rare ones, take your time and check these vintage rockers.
They aren't Gibsons, but they rock with 70's twist ;o)

BTW, about the picture..

That's Supro Comet lap steel 1950 and Gibson Discoverer Tremolo GA-8T from 1961. Both in original condition, except the case with some road wear ;o)

New start !
